A New Day to Get Started!

I am trying to get going on my low-fat eating plan, I am doing good part of the day, then something get throw in front of me and no will power. I keep trying to think of being free from the constant diarrhea to get me motivated.

I try to have my meat, vegtable, starch and a fruit at each meal. In our area produce is so expensive I usually have to get canned or frozen fruit or juice and frozen vegetables. I just shop the specials with produce.

This link will give you a sample menu.

We have went on diets in the past and we just do not like most of the low-fat products. We just use the regular product and try to cut down on the amount we use. This works for us and keeps us trying. Hope you are getting interested in trying low-fat eating for a better life.

Dash Diet Recipes

If you like you can just follow any low-fat diet that you like. I have used some of my Weight Watcher recipes and there are many sites on the Internet that have low-fat recipes.

I ran across the Sparks People site, it has some great recipes and they are reviews by the people who have tried the recipe. I prefer to use sites that have reviews, at least you can tell how it is liked before you try it. It is free to join, it also has many other tools you can use, but I have never really figured it all out yet. Here is the link to their site:

Hope you will check these great links out. I am still trying to get in the mode to get back on track.

Getting Started on a Low-Fat Diet

Today I am continuing on information to help you control gall bladder removal diarrhea.

I have done some research on the Dash Diet and will share some links for you to check out. Dash stand for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. So this diet has more than just one purpose for me, lower blood pressure, control gall bladder removal diarrhea and lose weight. When I started the Dash Diet I charted what I ate of each group. Usually I was not able to eat everything, so you will not starve on this diet. It is just eating the food groups like we all should be doing anyway, right.

The reason the Dash Diet caught my attention is was rated as the top diet. Food groups you will have are:
Fruits|Vegetables|Fat Free or Low Fat Milk and Dairy|Whole Grains|Lean Meat, Fish and Poultry|Nuts, Seeds, & Legumes|Oils|Sweets|Sodium|Alcohol

Check this link out it is full of information.

If you decide to follow the Dash Diet check this link out for the caculator for the number of servings recommended from each food group.

I will be adding more info for a healtier life for us all.

Welcome to Freedom From Diarrhea After Gall Bladder Removal

I had my gallbladder removed April 1995, shortly after I started with diarrhea after eating. Now, almost 17 years later I have found out how to solve my constant diarrhea by eating a low-fat diet. I had tried everything I found on the Internet, some would work for a while and other not at all. I had reached the end of my rope and remember something a nurse once told me, eat a low-fat diet. My husband and I started in August 2011 the Dash Diet, I did not follow exactly, but use it as my base, to help also with high blood pressure both my husband and I are dealing with. We both also lost weight and my husband was able to lower his dosage of blood pressure medication. I did great until the holidays started and ate some foods that are not low-fat and started having some small episodes of diarrhea. It is January now and I have yet to get back on track. I started this blog to help myself and others to be free from the life of being plague with gall bladder removal diarrhea. I was getting where I did not want to eat out unless with my husband and always wanted a bathroom near. I am hoping this with help others live a free life from diarrhea from gallbladder removal. I welcome any input from you my readers and we will continue the journey together.
